The weight of one meter of rolled steel is 352 kg, and the length of one ton is 2.8 m. It is produced by forming preheated slabs from 35CrMnC, a structural steel alloyed with chromium and manganese, on rolling mills. It is used as a billet for improved spring-type parts of small dimensions that require high strength and wear resistance: gears, rollers, pins, couplings, and intake valves for tractor engines.
