The weight of one meter of rolled steel is 20.6 kg, and one ton contains 48.5 meters of steel. It is produced by forming preheated slabs from 35CrMnC, a structural steel alloyed with chromium and manganese, on rolling mills. It is used as a raw material for strong, wear-resistant and resilient spring-type parts of small dimensions: gears, rollers, pins, couplings, and injection valves for tractor engines. It is also in demand in the manufacture of spare parts in the automotive and aviation industries, in construction to strengthen foundations, vertical and horizontal structures.
