A 100x8 strip is a rolled metal product with a rectangular cross-section and an elongated shape. The product has a width of 100 mm. The thickness is 8 mm. A running meter weighs 6.3 kg. There are 158.7 meters of rolled products in a ton. The rolled products are shipped in 6.05-meter lengths. In accordance with GOST 103-76 and EN 10058, the strip is produced using hot-rolling technology from 3ps structural low-carbon steel. The strip is used as a billet for angles, channels and other bent sections. It is used in the pipe industry as a raw material for the manufacture of longitudinal welded pipe products of small and medium diameter, as well as spiral welded pipes of various diameters. Nuts, mounting brackets and stops are made from this rolled metal by stamping.
