Wire 1.0 mm w/o t/o is a long metal rod with a circular cross-section. The cross-section has a diameter of 1 mm. Available in coils of 50 kg or more. It is produced by wire-rolling a billet in a cold state through a series of gradually decreasing holes, followed by heat treatment. The quality of rolled products is regulated by GOST 3282-74 and EN10218-1. Low-carbon steels of ordinary quality are used as feedstock. The wire is in demand for rigging equipment in the construction of load-lifting masts and antennae, and for tying various metal products together. It is also used to make fences and barriers, various frame structures, trellises for growing agricultural plants, consumer goods and their metal elements.
